Hi Martin, Do you have a wiring diagram for your Haflinger? You will need one did is as close to your Particular Haflinger as you can, there are Several variations to choose from. What I would suggest is that you run a completely separate wire from your fuse box to your switch and then over the platform to the rear lights. That way you can tell if it

All this information is in both the owners manual and the repair manual. If you are going to own a Haflinger, I would suggest you buy both. They can be both bought as reprints, so do not think you have to buy expensive "original" copies. SAE 30 during winter (if your winters are mild) or SAE 40 for summer ~ Oil change approx 1.75lr. The Haflinger Dynastart does not provide much "spare" electricity, so really a winch should be run from it's own battery with maybe a split charger to provide a trickle charge to the winch battery when it is not being used. A reasonable size battery should provide two or three sessions with the winch before battery voltage drops too low
